I am proud to announce that Teradata Corporation has again been recognised as one of the World’s Most Ethical Companies – for the eleventh consecutive year. I pay tribute to everyone at Teradata for their part in achieving this exclusive recognition. In particular, I pay tribute to our team of dedicated ethics & compliance attorneys & professionals for their tireless work, every day, to make sure Teradata does business the right way. Thank you Shannon Sorrells, Tim Butler, Susan Bridgman and Michelle Boldman.
Congratulations also to our fellow World’s Most Ethical Companies honorees, each selected for the strength of their ethics and compliance program, culture of ethics, corporate citizenship and responsibility, governance, leadership, and reputation. The World’s Most Ethical Companies recognition program was created by the Ethisphere Institute, a global leader in defining and advancing standards of ethical business practices. You can read more about the program here.
The highest standards of ethics and integrity have always been a foundation of our culture at Teradata. We continually work to develop and enhance our company’s compliance program. For example, in 2019 the Teradata Ethics & Compliance team launched a new program to appoint “Ethics Advocates” in many of our locations around the globe. Over fifty Teradata employees who demonstrate strong ethical leadership were appointed to facilitate engagement and raise awareness of ethics and integrity within the company. This radically extended our on-the-ground geographic reach, engaging local Teradata associates who enthusiastically promote Teradata’s ethical goals.
We are committed to further enhancing Teradata’s world-class ethics and compliance program in 2020 and beyond.
